Two year Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.Perform a variety of work as directed by the coordinator.Do repairs, installs, replaces and test electrical circuits, and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.Must mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.Do lay outs, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit.Interpret blueprints work from sketches or verbal instructions.

Must install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.

Must dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures.

May direct the work of others in the lower classifications.

Must be able to perform the work of the lower class identifications.

Must have knowledge of the electrical power, steam, water, and gas distribution systems.

Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints.

Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.

Design minor electrical circuits and to test and troubleshoot electrical, PLC and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment.
